09.09.12-Tracy-Louis Vuitton Kite Charm Nowadays the children throughout the whole world enjoy the exhilaration of flying kites. Now let’s us go back to know something about the history of kites. Kites first appeared approximately 2,800 years ago in China, and then quickly spread the whole Far East and by the end of the first millennium they played significant roles in many different countries and cultures. In Japan, when a boy is born, the huge kites are flown over the new son’s house. In Thailand kites were flown at the time of monsoon to encourage the winds to blow away the rain clouds and protect their crops from flood. And in most Asian countries, they hold kite festivals as well as kite fighting.

Inspired by the Far East, Louis Vuitton came up with a Kite Charm. This charm is set with precious stones: rubies, blue sapphires, diamonds and tsavorite. The chain and pompon is crafted in 750 thousandths (18kt) yellow gold. Forty four rubies, twenty four blue sapphires, six diamonds and one tsavorite are used in this charm. Monogram flower and Louis Vuitton signature are engraved on the back of the charm and the yellow gold clasp is signed Louis Vuitton. The movement of its chains is reminiscent of a kite in flight. The precious charm can be worn attached to a Charm bracelet or as a pendant. Of course, the combination of precious materials and delicate craftsmanship makes the charm weigh a hefty price of $9,150.  More Louis Vuitton Accessories are on sale at Top1handbag.net
