Louis Vuitton exhibited two colorful tapestries in January 2010 in its Champs-Elysees Flagship Store, Paris. To be honest, I just knew the news, so my posting may be behind in time, but the fabulous characteristics of these two tapestries push me to write something about them. The two hand-embroidered tapestries were titled ‘Flowerball’ and ‘Pink Time’ separately.
These Louis Vuitton Tapestries were created by Takashi Murakami in collaboration with Louis Vuitton. Flowerball features a round shape while Pink Time in a square shape. Every process of the tapestries is delicately handled. Firstly they were hand woven at an Indian rug factory which enjoys a distinguished and prestigious reputation, and then their actual sized printouts were made by a semi-transparent film, which then were brought to Takshi Murakami design team for review. Finally, they were sent to the company chosen by Louis Vuitton for production. To finish one piece needs at least 4 months.
As to its materials, the tapestries are crafted out of the best quality New Zealand wool with the lock stitching method which employs about 20 knots per square centimeter. In addition, coming in 2m and 3m diameter for Flowerball and 2x2m and 3x3m for Pink Time, the tapestries were only released 20 each, thus if you have enough money, if these tapestries haven’t been sold out, it should be an ideal choice for the ornament of your children’s room.
If you are hesitant by the hefty price tags on authentic Louis Vuitton Handbag, a cheap Replica Louis Vuitton Handbag is a great alternative.
