Frankly speaking, this is not the most attractive bag I have ever seen from Louis Vuitton. It is personally designed by Marc Jacobs (you mean none of his 20+ design assistants helped?) who wanted to pay tribute to the classic Louis Vuitton steamer trunks with an added bonus- a belt that you can let your daughter wear with her Juicy jeans! You may have came arocss many ciccy bags before, but have you ever saw this Louis Vuitton bag? Apparently there is no end to the barrage of atrocious bags from Louis Vuitton. But let’s be fair here for a minute, I do appreciate the attempt at creativity with the LV monogram – which clearly MJ himself is sick of. And the overall design of the bags is not completely heinous (I prefer the shape of the smaller one on the right), now stick on a couple of cutsey but useless plastic buttons, stitch the monogram in yellow on top of all of Barbie’s favorite colors and you have a bag totally suitable for a chic 7 year old girl. Unfortunately the 4 figure price tag will not go over so well with her mother but her Grandmere might be persuaded.

To tell the truth, the bag is truly adorable. Soft and plushy , it is lightweight and curved so it fits perfectly against the body. The shoulder strap had seemed bulky to me in photos but it is actually flat on the bottom so it hangs on your shoulder securely without any slip and slide annoyance. The logos are not prominent and being ruched, you can’t even tell it says LV unless you are a die hard trendoid fashionista that can spot and name a Louis Vuitton bag from a mile away. Even the subtle ruffles are girly and fun, not obnoxious at all. There is also the PM (petite size around 12″) if you are not into giant bags as the GM is 19.7″.
